I had a such a great time over the last five weeks reading and posting my writer-friends’ stories about the heirlooms in their lives that are precious to them as we celebrated the launch of A FALL OF MARIGOLDS. If you missed any of those posts, I recommend you go back and treat yourself to a trip down several memory lanes. Just click through all the February posts. And even though the book giveaways are over, each of these authors has at least one book to their name that you might want to find out more about.
The best way to cap off a great month of giveaways is with a giveaway! At left is a beautiful scarf, constructed of a handmade textile that is the perfect blend of historical and contemporary. It is modeled here by my lovely daughter-in-law-to-be, Bree. Along with the scarf, the lucky winner will get two copies of A FALL OF MARIGOLDS, one to keep and one to giveaway. All you have to do to get in on the running is comment below! The winner will be chosen by random drawing. Get your comment in by noon Pacific on Friday, March 14 (Pi Day!). Good luck and how about you answer with what is your favorite pie (since it will be Pi Day on Friday). I’ ll start. Sour-cream raisin.
What a gorgeous scarf, and congratulations to your future daughter-in-law and to you and Chaplain Bob 🙂
(I’m not much of a pie eater…I prefer cake.)
Ha! I like cake, too. But pie is better…
Apple with crumb topping!
Beautiful scarf, beautiful future daughter-in-law, and beautiful book! 🙂
I’ll go with pecan pie. Even better if it’s got chocolate chips in it.
Oh…sour cream raisin…sounds wonderful. My favorite pie is strawberry…think…it’s hard to choose. Hugs and God bless and thanks.
How exciting to be adding a daughter to your family! Favorite pie(s)…strawberry and key lime.
You guys are seriously making me VERY hungry for pie…
Such a pretty scarf. I love the colors. It looks wonderful on your daughter-in-law to be. She’s gorgeous. Picking one sweet is hard but I’ll go with a local restaurant favorite….apple caramel walnut.
I love the beautiful scarf and can’t wait to read A Fall of Marigolds! How fun it would be to win one and share one!! I have to say that chocolate chip pie is my very favorite. Wish I had a piece right now!
I love chocolate pie!
Fresh peach is my favorite pie!
Congratulations on your new book and on having a future daughter-in-law. I’ve had a d-i-l for over a year now, and it’s quite fun after raising two sons. I craved pie when I was pregnant with my second son, and I think my favorite is rhubarb, or maybe blueberry sour cream, or raspberry. I don’t think I’ve ever met a pie I didn’t like.
Lovely scarf
my favourite pie is the old fashioned apple pie. thanks for the giveaway, susan…what a beautiful scarf 🙂
My favorite pie is Chocolate cream pie! 😀
I have to chime in because it’s PI! Coconut cream. And of course I’m always careful not to drip on my scarf, saving both the scarf and the pie! 🙂
I loved the book and would love to have the scarf to go with it. 🙂
I loved this book and I would love to win extra copies to pass on to others!
Pie is wonderful and it’s hard to pick a favorite but my top three are custard, sweat potato, and pumpkin.
Haven’t yet met a pie I didn’t like but strawberry is my favorite!
Absolutely Loved the book!
The scarf would be a wonderful remembrance of the book.
And Chocolate Pie would be my favorite today. 🙂
Be Blessed!
Thanks for hosting this giveaway! For my favorite pie, I’m torn between lemon meringue and rhubarb custard! Yum!
I can’t determine a favorite pie between apple, pumpkin and blackberry. It IS a great day for pie. 🙂
I would live to win the scarf and books the library at the high school my kids go to is being remodeled that would be a great gift kay
I am seriously salivating here. And dear Linda C, I know you meant sweet potato, but I love your little typo. Sweat potato. That just makes me laugh.
And I want sour cream raisin pie. Right. Now.
Congrats go out to lucky Debra who won the scarf and books. Thanks to random.org for selecting a winner and to all of who commented on their favorite pies! Yum!
